About

The Bayside Singers were formed in 1994 and are a small choir based in Melbourne Australia. The group evolved from the Mardardy Singers who were originally  formed in 1972.

The Bayside Singers are a versatile group of people from varying backgrounds who have a love of singing and a desire to share it with others.

Weekly rehearsals are held close to the bay (in Brighton) – hence the name. The extensive and varied repertoire includes both accompanied and a capella pieces and ranges from sacred and early music to classical, show tunes, popular music, international pieces in various languages, spirituals, schmaltz and fun!

The Bayside Singers perform at various venues and occasions including retirement homes, National Trust properties, libraries, art exhibition openings, fund-raisers, weddings  and church services.
